Donate to create homes for homeless young adults

The are 5 ways to donate to Marvin’s Home and they all help us greatly!

All furniture and home goods donations need to be approved before they are dropped off or before a pick-up is scheduled (we charge a pickup fee). Items are used for Marvin’s Home Installs or are sold at our store Home on Main. Sales from Home on Main directly benefit Marvin’s Home. If you have any questions or are looking to get items approved please contact us at info@marvinshome.org.

Note: We do not take items that are too large, heavy, or extremely damaged. We also do not accept bed frames or mattresses.

  • Install

Installs are the most important part of Marvin’s Home. They begin at the store by selecting furniture, bedding, decor, accessories, and everything in between. Then we pack up our cars and head to the apartment or house. Everything we brought is unpacked and put in its place. By the end, these spaces really feel like a home. The whole experience usually lasts about 4 hours.

  • Shop Keeper

Home On Main is our store. The store needs great volunteers to be successful. Being a shopkeeper is a fun way to volunteer. All furniture and decor sold directly support Marvin’s Home. Shopkeeper shifts are 4 hours and we need the most help on Saturdays and Sundays

  • Organize, Sort & Clean

We are getting donations all of the time but unless we can sort and organize it becomes overwhelming. With things coming and going out with sales and installs there is always important work to di in this category

  • Paint Furniture

We love color and we love to give older furniture a new and refreshed looked. Adding some color to an old dark wood piece of furniture brightens up the homes we make.

  • Make Art

The apartments we furnish are usually empty and dull. Art on the walls plays a huge part in bringing life to these spaces. If you are an artist we would love for you to draw or paints us some colorful artwork that we can hang for our clients. it makes all the difference

donate money

  • Our donors have a commitment to the community, a generous spirit, and a passion for helping others. They support behind-the-scenes activities and ensure Marvin's Home can continue making an impact. Money donations help us in so many ways. They allow us to purchase new mattresses and bed frames. They help pay for our operating costs and install costs. They allow us to buy cleaning supplies and other home supplies that we can give to our clients. Donate today! It makes such a difference.

purchase from our wishlists

Do you enjoy a clean house? Do you agree that a clean house improves your outlook on life? would you sponsor a cleaning bucket for our clients? They work very hard at cleaning before we arrive and it’s a tall task when cleaning supplies are scarce and the apartments they move into are dirty. This red bucket with supplies is a $60 value and we would love to gift one on our first visit.
